Headlight resurfacing
Clear away oxidation, haziness, and yellowing to restore complete clarity and improved night visibility.
Lens polishing vs polymerisation
Standard lens polishing
Polishing uses an abrasive compound to remove light surface oxidation, restore clarity, and improve light output. It delivers an immediate cosmetic improvement while leaving the original factory UV coating largely intact.
However, without a high-grade chemical seal, the plastic can begin to yellow and haze again within months of exposure to New Zealand’s harsh UV rays. At Brightlens, we offer a longer-lasting solution designed to provide protection up to six months*
This service is best suited to vehicles showing early signs of light oxidation. To maintain the results, we generally recommend a 6 monthly treatment.
Vapour polymerisation
Polymerisation is BRIGHTLENS' no.1 recommendation! A long-term resurfacing solution. Following thorough wet-sanding to remove oxidation, a specialised chemical vapour is applied to bond directly with the polycarbonate. This process chemically smooths microscopic imperfections, creating a crystal-clear, OEM factory-like finish with durable UV inhibitors.
The result is improved nightime visibility and long-lasting protection against sun damage. However, New Zealand’s exceptionally high UV levels demand even more protection, which is why we also apply an additional ceramic coating with UV additive for maximum longevity.
We offer a 2 year warranty with the included ceramic coating, which is what sets us apart!
